Sunken Treasure : Friday Fictioneers

Sunken Treasure

Pierre negotiated the uneven rocks and advanced towards the waterfront.

At the edge, he found a fragile balance astride two craggy boulders, and stood for a moment, examining the rocky shore and the incoming tide.

He spotted the rusty chain almost immediately, went over, gripped it with both hands and tugged eagerly.

It would’t budge so he sunk both hands into the icy waters and yanked the small iron container ashore, bashing it with a heavy rock to reveal it’s contents.

A new passport, $200K and a scribbled note!

‘Pierre becomes Paul. Annabelle awaits in Medellin!’
