We went to a local restaurant some time back and were served asparagus with our main meal. It was so tasty and after looking attentatively we came to the conclusion that it must have been roasted in the oven.
We absolutely had to try it out for ourselves and now we are able to replicate it every time. It is so delicious!
Here is how you do it:
- Preheat the oven to 220 C / Gas 7.
- Spray or coat the asparagus with some olive oil and season. Arrange the asparagus onto a baking tray in a single layer.
- Roast in the preheated oven until just tender, 10 to 15 minutes depending on thickness.
If you feel like it you can sprinkle the asparagus with Parmesan cheese and pureed garlic. You can also sprinkle with lemon juice just before serving.
