I enjoy taking photos of the food we prepare and eat or of food we order in the restaurant.

I’ve decided to take my food photography to another level so I’ve been paying closer attention to other peoples photos of food and learning about equipment and techniques. YouTube is a particularly interesting vector for learning.

Today I’ve tried to pay more attention to lighting and staging and comparing photos taken with a smartphone and with a DSLR.

Funnily enough today I managed to take a better shot with my Smartphone, than with my Sony Mirrorless, so that is what I am showing you.

It’s more of a still life than a food photo, but I’m rather pleased with the result.

I’m having fun and that’s the most important I feel. I’m looking forward to the next steps in these new adventures.
