Do you like changes?

I’ve not made any structual changes to my blog for a while now.

I’ve been using the RESONAR theme for quite a while because I post a lot of photos and they stand out quite well with only the occasional glitch, when shown on mobiles and tablets, with the odd obscured head or side details missing.

I’ve found another theme I’d like to try and that is the EIGHTIES theme as it seems to fit my content even better.

I’ll let you be the judge of that because I’m going to try it out starting with this post!

Today’s feature photo was taken in Renishaw Gardens earlier this year.

Lord of the Rings

I was reading the news yesterday and I learnt that Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series will be filmed in New Zealand.

Perhaps they will use the Hobbiton set that we visited a while back.

I hope that won’t hinder the thousands of tourisits that visit it year long. Perhaps they will add new areas and make it even more fun to visit in the future!

The Giant’s Causeway revisited

Now that I’m back home, and have access to some editing tools, I’ve had the chance to edit some of my cruise photos.

Today I’d like to show a better photo of the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, a little over an hours drive from Belfast going north.

Photo du Jour #5

Back to Wisley today. What an inspiration it has been. This photo was taken from an exhibit of the Bonzai exhibition.

I thought it was an interesting study in greens.

Cruising – More Edinburgh

We had such a fantastic day in Edinburgh that I want to share some more photos with you.

On our cruise ship (the Crown Princess) more than 1500 passengers are on excursions today, either to Paris or to Mont Saint-Michel, as we are docked in Le Havre.

We’ve decided to stay onboard because those destinations are over 3 hours there and back and rain is forecast later. It’s not worth paying 16$ each to go to the centre of town to get wet!

Glorious wildflower meadow

I’ve noticed recently that many of our hedgerows are left to wildflowers and not mowed and cut back. I approve.

There was an amazing wildflower meadow at RHS Wisley and I enjoyed getting down to its level to take a few photos.

Here is one 🙂
