We had such a fantastic day in Edinburgh that I want to share some more photos with you.
On our cruise ship (the Crown Princess) more than 1500 passengers are on excursions today, either to Paris or to Mont Saint-Michel, as we are docked in Le Havre.
We’ve decided to stay onboard because those destinations are over 3 hours there and back and rain is forecast later. It’s not worth paying 16$ each to go to the centre of town to get wet!
After a surprisingly enjoyable day in Invergordon yesterday, today we are in Edinburgh (the highlight of our cruise for me).
The weather is splendid and the bagpipes are chanting!
The sun has come out in Invergordon this morning for our visit.
Interesting art walk with painted murals.
Lots of craft shops too!
We visited the Dark Hedges (GOT) and the Giants Causeway today
We arrived in Dublin this morning for two days and after a shuttle into town we boarded the Hopon Hopoff DoDublin bus for a tour that ended in the quaint Merrion Square. Dublin is busy today as there is a match between Dublin and Kerry so a lot of balloons and big crowds in the streets!
First time I’ve been to Ireland 🇮🇪 It’s lovely. We’ll have to come back with the car on the ferry and drive around.
Great day in Cobh where we took a tour around the island in a local bus.
First stop in our cruise is St Peter Port in Guernsey. Lovely weather and a great view towards the sea from Candie Gardens.
