Even more Portraits

We’re back to portraits today and it’s almost time to select the best of my best as I many other photographs to show you. I think eventually I’ll have to pick about 10 in each category otherwise it will be a very large portfolio.

When I’ve filled each category I’ll make my final choice and then just add further photographs in a Travel section as I continue to travel.

Flower

Continuing my exploration of online portfolios and WordPress Themes here is a close-up of a flower from my collection.

With a bit of luck this should automatically post to my Facebook Page rather than me having to cut and paste the link and insert into post on my feed.

This is far from perfect but probably the best I’m going to get.

If this works then I’ll invite more people to my new Facebook page (Graham’s Favourites).

Wordpress Themes

I just can’t seem to find the WordPress theme I want for my blog. I’ve used two over the past week or so and neither really gives me satisfaction.

I’ve been adding to the Portfolio section of this blog and updating simultaneously through a blog post. The portfolio section seems ok but as the blog posts are essentially image driven they seem badly displayed and stuck to each other.

I hope you don’t mind if I experiment some more. Ideally I’d like to cross post to Facebook but that isn’t working really well either.

If you have any ideas please do let me know.

I’ve abandoned my blog these past few months. I think the pause has done me a lot of good. I’ve been on holidays but also I had a health warning and found myself in hospital for a few days.

I’m feeling a lot better now and ready to re-evaluate my weekly schedules and attempt to harmonise and balance the content.

I hope you’ll come from time to time to see what I have to offer.

Beautiful : Sunday Photo Fiction

Beautiful

It’s a weekday morning.

I knock our wedding photo to the carpet in my rush to silence the alarm.

We struggle for a place in the bathroom and race to be first to use the toilet.

Then, downstairs, a gulp of tepid coffee.

Occasional glances, quick smiles, no time for toast or conversation.

Then we’re off!

Different bus stops to different offices.

She texts.

“I’ve a surprise for u this evening”

The day is sluggish.

The more I think about my surprise, the longer the minute hand takes to reach quitting time.

My colleagues seem hell bent on detaining me but I manage to escape to the bus.

She texts again.

“I hope ur not late. I’m waiting”

I jump off the moving bus and scamper home.

When I open the door a grunting alien greets me.

I protest.

“Not what I’ve been fantasising about all day hun.”

Slimy dangly tentacles quiver as it nods its head.

It’s a cheap costume but I follow it upstairs to the bedroom.

Muffled giggles from within as we fall towards the bed.

I reach out to pull off the mask.

My heart sinks as I realise it’s not a mask.

Sunday Photo Fiction is back on my blog again. Time to regain my writing habits.
