Cruising – More Edinburgh

We had such a fantastic day in Edinburgh that I want to share some more photos with you.

On our cruise ship (the Crown Princess) more than 1500 passengers are on excursions today, either to Paris or to Mont Saint-Michel, as we are docked in Le Havre.

We’ve decided to stay onboard because those destinations are over 3 hours there and back and rain is forecast later. It’s not worth paying 16$ each to go to the centre of town to get wet!

Cruising – Dublin (Merrion Square)

We arrived in Dublin this morning for two days and after a shuttle into town we boarded the Hopon Hopoff DoDublin bus for a tour that ended in the quaint Merrion Square. Dublin is busy today as there is a match between Dublin and Kerry so a lot of balloons and big crowds in the streets!

What an amazing scenic cruise we did in New Zealand’s Fiordland in November 2016. When we entered Milford Sound the sky was clear and the sun was rising and as the day went on the weather deteriorated and we exited the Fjordland National Park (through Acheron Passage) in dusk and mists.

It was a fantastic experience!

Getting excited

My wife and I are getting excited because we’ve just booked a cruise to the Baltic and will be visiting St. Petersburg for two days next May.

It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while but have been too busy travelling elsewhere.

I’ll be taking lots of photos for sure!
