It’s sometimes a good idea to look elsewhere with your camera so while we were visiting Wadi Rum in Jordan last year I took this photo.
My feature photo today is the first glimpse of the Treasury in the Petra compound.
It was really one of those jaw-dropping moments that you are never quite prepared for, made even more exciting by the long walk down from the entrance that serves to build up the excitement.
On a completely different note, I deactivated my Facebook account a week ago today and nobody has even noticed yet!
It’s an interesting experiment. The only inconveniences I’ve noted are an absence of notifications of birthdays and anniversaries and the regret of not being able to use the Facebook Marketplace which was useful for selling stuff.
I’m going to wait until someone remarks and I’ll be sure to let you know when something happens.
In Wadi Rum, Jordan there is a station that was on a section of the Hejaz Railway, but now it’s a tourist attraction and occasionally a film set.
After we had ridden in our 4×4 around Wadi Rum we visited the station on our way back to the ship.
What an exceptional day we had in Jordan yesterday and Wadi Rum was the highlight.
This post marks the start of a series of Travel Photos.
This one is a glimpse of Petra in Jordan which is a coach ride from Aqaba where our ship was docked.
