Balloons over Bagan

I’ve decided to put some order into my videoclips and have been making short videos less than 2.5 minutes and have been putting them on Facebook. I thought I would try and post one here and find out what you think.

My wife and I visited Myanmar in early 2017 and were fortunate to make a Hot Air Balloon ride at sunrise. Here it is!

Daily Post Photo Challenge – The Road Taken

The Daily Post Photo Challenge – The Road Taken

While in Myanmar my wife and I saw many sunsets but on this day, I went down from the terrace of the tea-room and along a path of Sunflowers to the beach.

My reward was stunning. A ‘road’ well taken!

OWPC – Exposure

Here is my entry to this weeks One Word Photo ChallengeExposure.

These are photographs taken in various temples in Myanmar. The first image is the interior of a massive temple bell from the inside. Two other photographs show recent discoveries when layers of plaster were meticulously stripped down, revealing ancient natural pigment drawings beneath.

I feel that these photos depict the passage of time through exposure to the elements.

OWPC – Escape

This week’s prompt is escape and it brought to mind my recent trip to Myanmar (Burma) which was an escape not only geographically but also in time. Wonderful country, fantastic people, all smiles.

I was lucky to be on a small boat near the bridge  – and supplied with champagne while waiting for the sunset. It was magical.

The U Bein Bridge is a crossing that spans the Taungthaman Lake near Amarapura in Myanmar. The 1.2-kilometre (0.75 mi) bridge was built around 1850 and is believed to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. (Wikipedia)
